How to Publish the Workbook
Fortunately, publishing a workbook to SharePoint is simple.
If you want to publish a workbook directly to SharePoint without going out from Excel, here’s what you need to do.
Go to the file tab and then to the save as option:

Unlike older versions of Excel, it’s quite easy now to save an Excel sheet directly to SharePoint.
If the account you’re using in Excel is connected to the SharePoint tenant, there will be a sites option in the save as.
Once you select it, you will be able to browse through the different sites:

Find the site where you want to publish the workbook and then double-click on it.
Once there, select the document library to save the file and you will be able to publish the Excel spreadsheet:

If you prefer a drag-and-drop option, or maybe the site is already open in the browser, you can use this one.
Simply go to the document library and click upload > files from the command bar:

You can also drag and drop the Excel workbook directly from file explorer to the document library page in the browser.
After it’s uploaded, you can open the file in the Excel web app (Excel Online) or Microsoft Excel desktop for further editing.
I suggest you check the file permissions to make sure that only authorized users can view or edit the workbook. 🙂
You can then share it with others safely and even put it on a SharePoint page through the embed web part.
